Palestra non troppo grande ma con tutto quello che serve. Ci ero già andata in passato e ora sono tre mesi che ci vado regolarmente e mi trovo molto bene. Non è mai troppo affollata e ci si allena bene. Il personale è sempre disponibile se uno ha bisogno.

The perfect gym for a long stay in Florence! I paid 370€ for 6 months, which is incredibly fair. They also offer 15€ drop in rate if you need just a few days. It’s an older gym, but it’s well kept and people respect the equipment and have great etiquette. It has everything you need and everyone is nice!

**Friendly reminder to bring clean shoes, especially if you’re from the states, as that’s not in our culture, but it is just about every else, and it’s important to respect that

El peor gimnasio que he probado desde hacía mucho tiempo, fuimos hace 3 semanas a pedir información y no nos dijeron nada de lo que después nos pasó, nada relacionado que duraba 1h, nada de que hay que venir con otro tipo de calzado y interior, y perdona que les diga, estas cosas se avisan, no son cosas que los clientes tienen que saber porque no en todos los gimnasios las reglas son las mismas. lo primero de todo hemos ido a probar mi novia y yo, yo no vivo aquí entonces vamos pagando de gimnasio a gimnasio los días que necesitamos, bien nos dicen lo primero que hay día de prueba gratuita (y a nosotros no nos hubiera importado pagar porque yo necesito más tiempo para los entrenamientos) y no nos avisan de que la duración máxima es una hora, primero punto, no nos avisan que había sitios donde no podíamos ir, no nos para de amenazar una señora mayor y muy irrespetuosa las cosas que no podemos hacer y no nos deja hablar siendo una experiencia malísima, como excusa nos dice que nos tiene que echar porque pasó el tiempo que en principio nos nos habían dicho, y luego finalmente viene un entrenador a echarnos como la mayor mierda, gritándonos y siendo de la peor experiencia que llevo yendo a gimnasios, no recomiendo a nadie a ir a este gimnasio y por favor vosotros los que nos habeis atendido, sois los mayores irrespetuosos e inconsciente que jamás he conocido.

La palestra peggiore che abbia mai provato. Un’esperienza così irrispettosa non me la immaginavo. Io e il mio compagno siamo venuti a chiedere informazioni tre settimane prima: la ragazza bionda all’ingresso ci ha solo detto che avevano una prova gratuita e non c’era bisogno di prenotare. Ho chiesto se dovevamo sapere qualcos’altro e ha detto di no. Oggi siamo venuti alle 17:30 e subito iniziano i problemi. La mamma del proprietario ha iniziato a ripetere che le prove si facevano solo di mattina, fortunatamente (o sfortunatamente) alla fine siamo riusciti a entrare. Letteralmente 10 minuti dopo la donna è tornata a sgridarci perché stavamo in una sala dove in poco tempo avrebbero fatto un corso quindi dovevamo toglierci da lì. Come potevamo saperlo noi? E soprattutto perché ci stai gridando e non ce lo stai dicendo tranquillamente? Ci spostiamo, la donna continua a venire ogni 10/15 minuti a sgridarci di qualsiasi cosa, un esempio è che avevamo lasciato gli asciugamani per terra vicino a degli scalini invece che lasciarli sugli scalini, e la regola era di lasciarli dove volevano loro. Questo è solo un esempio, ma continuó a sgridarci senza volerci ascoltare per letteralmente qualsiasi cosa. Alla fine verso le 19:00 arriva il proprietario incazzatissimo e ha cominciato a urlarci contro perché eravamo lì da 1 ora e mezza e le prove si facevano solo di 1 ora. Che colpa abbiamo noi che non sapevamo di questa regola? Gli cerco di spiegare, con tutta la calma del mondo, che noi avevamo bisogno di più tempo perché il mio compagno fa uno sport particolare che si chiama power lifting e tutti i suoi allenamenti durano almeno 4 ore. Gli spiego che in tutte le altre palestre in cui siamo stati questa regola non c’è mai stata: una prova è una prova, e soprattutto intentai di spiegargli che questo comportamento era inaccettabile e irrispettoso. Sembrava di parlare con una parete, ci ha letteralmente cacciati urlando davanti a tutti come se fossimo dei criminali. Se tu che stai leggendo questa recensione stai pensando di fare una prova in questa palestra, te lo sconsiglio. Non ci andare. Evitiamo che persone del genere abbiano i nostri soldi.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful during my visit, which made a great first impression. However, the space doesn’t seem to be used as efficiently as it could be. There are only two moveable benches, and they were occupied throughout my time there by the same individuals, despite there being plenty of room to accommodate more equipment. The gym would be suitable for leg workouts or powerlifting, but for upper body training, it becomes quite limiting if there are more than a few people using the space.

She had an awkward experience with a female CrossFit coach who approached me about my sneakers, saying they were dirty (which they weren’t) and that I should’ve brought a separate pair for the gym. It would have been helpful if this policy had been communicated clearly beforehand.

Good amount of lifting and free weights with cardio machines. Pretty tight and intimate! But playing good tunes - AC/DC reminded me of home. Super friendly staff and locals. No problem with a day pass

Da circa un anno mi sono iscritta alla Urban Gym e posso dire che la adoro:
Ambiente professionale, istruttori preparatissimi e simpaticissimi, nei corsi come GAG, Total body, etc si è creato un gruppo di persone con cui è piacevolissimo allenarsi, un’ora di allenamento intenso passa quasi senza accorgersene. Grazie a tutto lo staff.

Nous sommes allés visiter la salle une première fois, super bien accueillis par leonardo qui nous à proposé une séance d’essai gratuite, nous y sommes donc aller le lendemain. Malheureusement nous avons été refroidis par le patron extrêmement malpoli qui nous a refusé la séance car ça ne lui apportait rien s’il n’avait pas de garantie que nous revenions, étant étranger, et que de toute façon c’est « lui le patron, c’est lui qui décide ». Je déconseille !

This is an absolutely fabulous gym for weightlifters. If you are coming here to use the cardio equipment it’s useless they have one elliptical that’s very old and barely works. Also, there is no air conditioning they say there is but there is not.

Great moderately sized gym with nice people and plenty of equipment for power lifting, calisthenics and yoga/pilates alike. Very crowded if you go at the wrong time but that’s sort of a champagne problem indicative of the gym’s popularity, not a negative!

Everything you need in a gym. Maybe a little smaller than normal, but they have all the equipment you need. There are areas to warm-up and stretch, and the staff are super friendly, passionate people :)

Excellent gym for powerlifting, and it's about as close to the center of Florence as you're going to get. 3 racks, plenty of bars, good weights, and a makeshift deadlifting platform. Quality of the gear is excellent even if it's got some normal wear and tear. Leonardo, the owner, is a class act and a really nice person. He's happy to give you a tour of the place before you buy a day pass, and his English is excellent. I went on a Sunday morning fairly early and I had plenty of room to lift. There are locker rooms and showers, too, though I didn't have a look at them. Covid-wise I felt extremely good, too, with vaccine and temperature checks for everyone (I visited in the fall of 2021; this could change of course).

There are other "gyms" in the city center but trust me, none suffice for powerlifting or even basic CrossFit-style activity. Urban Gym will be my HQ whenever I'm in Florence. Hop on one of the electric bikes and get over there!

Great Gym if ur here as tourist. Did find anything that I didn’t like. Staff and style is cool! Only parking might be an issue because u have to pay for it.

Visiting from New York, this gym is top of the line. Leonardo greeted me with exceptional hospitality and spoke great English. Leonardo even went out of his way to give me some pointers while I was bench pressing. Best gym in Florence for sure.

Sei in mezzo al traffico, in pieno centro di Firenze, ma quando varchi la porta di Urban Gym ti senti come Alice nel paese delle meraviglie. Accoglienza professionale, istruttori preparatissimi e premurosi, macchinari nuovi e all'avanguardia, spazi pulitissimi e musica incantevole. Se fosse una palestra come tutte le altre non mi sarei mai iscritta.

Excellent gym in Florence. We were looking for a place to do our day C of Lean Gains with deadlifts and pull-ups and came upon the perfect spot.

Day pass was 15 euro, protein shake was 3 euro (they mix it on the spot).

Great vibes! It’s quiet and a great place to simply put in work and leave.

Nice gym. Three racks, bench, dumbbells go up to 35kg. If you are creative with the benches you can do a wide range of exercises. Range of cardio stuff, a studio and more. A bit cramped. €15 for a day pass.

Great gym. Helpful stuff and a lot of machines
Really cheap (I think it was 10 euros for 1 day and 300 euro for 1 year) wish I could stay in Florence longer do I could go there again!
