Visited O-Nami Academy in Napoli and participated in their 7:15pm Jiu Jitsu class. O-Nami offers a welcoming environment. The instructors and students were friendly and helped translate the techniques from Italian to English, which I appreciated. Anyone who is visiting Napoli and needs a solid gym to train at - I recommend O-Nami.

If you are in Napoli and you love to train with cool people, definitely check out O-Nami! Professor Renato was easily reachable on WhatsApp and they hold a lot of classes and open mats all week long. I was impressed by the caliber of all of the gym members and there were even some ladies! They made me feel very welcome both during an open mat and a no-gi class.

Had a great training session as a drop in. Was super welcomed there and everyone willing to roll even the black belts, which by the way, are really technical and non spazy during sparring.

Great legit technical Brazilian Jiu-jitsu! 🇮🇹🇧🇷

Highly recommend if you want to get some mat time while traveling. Messaged ahead and was invited to join a class for €10 mat fee. The person at the door indicated you could pay by card, but I’d bring cash just in case I misunderstood. Located through a gate you’ll see from street view and head through a relatively non descript door on the building to your right. A couple fitness businesses in the same location but someone will help you find O-Nami. It’s really easy. Their schedule online is accurate. The class was structured as warm ups, drilling technique, situational sparring then live rolling. A few black belts here and the entire group was welcoming.

Very good gym to train in. High level jiujitsu, good for English speaking foreigners and last but not least a very friendly atmosphere. Definitely coming back next time I’m in Napoli!

Great gym to train at while visiting Naples! I showed up for their 7pm nogi class. The gym was a bit hard to find, but I just followed in someone that looked like they were there for BJJ. The drop in fee is 10 Euro and they take credit cards. The class starts with warm ups, drills, then move series, followed by open rolling. The instructions were mostly in Italian, but the instructor translated to English for me. The people in the gym were all really friendly and introduced themselves, and they were great partners to roll with. I highly recommend training here.

Je suis venu à Naples dans le cadre de mes études et ai trouvé ce club pour m’entraîner. C’est un véritable coup de cœur! Les gens y sont TOUS très gentils et accueillant. Super niveau et les cours sont d’une grande qualités et le tout dans la bonne humeur. Bref un véritable plaisir de s’entraîner avec eux.
Merci pour ces 6 mois qui sont passés trop vite.

Attended a no-gi session which was 2 hours long (10 euros). The acadmey is inside a gym which is useful if you want to also lift weights.

Excellent demonstrations by the teacher who made the effort to explain the techniques in English, which was very appreciated.

Friendly environment and really talented group of athletes. I was initially a bit hesitant about joining a session because I didn't want any injuries while on holiday but no one cranked on submissions and I felt comfortable and safe.

Would recommend to anyone passing through Naples.

I went there twice and I had the best experience. As a lightweight female grappler it can be risky visiting new academies. But at O-Nami I felt really safe. The coaches made sure I had save sparring partners and would translate the drills for me into English. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming. The rounds were really technical and no one would go extra hard just to show off but at the same time challenge their training partners.

Will definitely come back for a visit!!!

Must visit gym in Naples. Amazing people, good Jiujitsu - got lots of hard rolls in! Guys are advanced, it was great! I was visiting from Canada and everyone was so helpful and kind. The guys didn’t try to win - which is something I have to be cautious with when I roll with new people - it was all a great experience! Recommend!! They also spoke English, which was also a bonus!

During a weeklong visit in Naples I had the chance to train in this academy. The atmosphere there was great, everybody welcomed me and although I speak zero Italian, everybody tried to do some small talk with me or answer my touristy questions. Furthermore the level in the academy is really high. The head coach does a great job at explaining the little details in techniques and my sparring rounds at the end were friendly but really tough due to the high level of the team. All in all I can recommend the gym to everybody!

Great Academy! I visited Naples for a few days and texted the Instagram page of O-Nami. I asked them if could train Grappling and MMA with them while I am there. They told me that I am totally welcome.
The MMA head coach, Orion Lombardi even offered me to bring shin guards, cause I didn’t bring mine with me to Naples.
The coaches and the members I experienced on the mat were fantastic. Very nice and open people. I never experienced a nice hospitality like that in a gym.
The training itself was very good as well. Especially the Grappling/BJJ Level was very high.
I would always come back to the gym, when in Naples.

Per chi è già del settore segnalo l'egregio lavoro anche dei praticanti più attempati, sul gioco di mezza guardia NoGi.
Gli istruttori sono aggiornati sulle tecniche più moderne ma ancorati a principi solidi, dal berimbolo all'anca a pistone, non manca proprio nulla.

Nei pressi della stazione, facilmente raggiungibile, parcheggio agevole.

I'll be direct: this place is not for low-effort individuals. Everyone is devoted, and extremely athletic. For those who have been in the sport for a while, it could be a great place to come and train once in a while, as the standards and competence level are very high across the board. For the uninitiated, you'll expecting to put in the mileage and grind it out. This is a highly respected team whose members win 1st place in many competitions. However, ironically, it does not have a cult-like mentality at all.

Really important to emphasize- this is a (god forgive me for saying this publicly) wholesome group of people, with no "ego" ever getting in the way. If you've ever been in a toxic gym\environment (bjj or otherwise), you know what I'm talking about. You will never feel that way here. I know I said there's high expectations, but it's balanced out with supportive, amazing people.

Oh, and they hardly speak English. So if you enjoy feeling like a dumbass, come on by, and get submitted by folks who mostly have the same confusing names
