Ich war am Freitag, den 19. Sept. 25 dort und hatte einen Auffrischungskurs Catamaran gebucht. Es war absolut toll - auch für etwas ältere wie mich. Super viel gelernt, hat riesig Spaß gemacht, leider nur einen Tag. Daher werden wir 2026 nochmal, dann aber für eine Woche kommen.

Wir hatten eine super schöne Segelzeit mit dem Hobie 16 und Asso 99 genießen können. Das Team ist sehr freundlich und man hat sich von Anfang an direkt wohl gefühlt. Hätte nicht besser sein können - kann ich uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Wonderful Sailing Experience with John!
My wife Jelena and I had an unforgettable afternoon sailing on Lake Garda with instructor John in Malcesine. It was our first time on a sailboat, and thanks to his professionalism, patience, and passion, we immediately felt at ease.

John didn’t just guide us — he involved us, taught us the basics of sailing, and let us truly experience the wind and the water. The boat was perfect, the scenery breathtaking, but it was John who made the real difference — always present but never intrusive, able to create a relaxed and authentic atmosphere.

This was more than just a tour: it was a moment of connection, freedom, and beauty.

Ich habe 4 Tage einen Surfkurs gehabt. Es hat sehr gut von meinem Niveau gepasst und ich konnte sehr viel dazu lernen und jetzt fühle ich mich alleine auch sicherer.😊
Dazu waren wir auch noch 2 Stunden mit einem Skipper Segeln. Sehr schön und gut erklärt!
Die Station ist echt toll denn man kann dort so vieles ausprobieren mit einem super Spot das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit
Außerdem gibt es noch ein Restaurant mit super leckeren Essen.

Massive thanks to the team at Windsquare Watersports for helping us get a great sail on the Hobie Tiger F18.

John really couldn’t have been more helpful — great communication and absolute enthusiasm for sailing (and that’s from the perspective of being an RYA dinghy instructor myself). The F18 definitely needs some prior experience if you want to sail it without an instructor, but the team can get you to that stage if that’s what you’re aiming for.

We sailed three-up as a family, and between us have many decades of sailing experience. We all agreed that the sail on Garda with the F18 was one of the best sails we’ve ever had!

Windsquare is a fantastic place to go for all levels of instruction and hire on Lake Garda. We researched carefully before we went and absolutely made the right choice.

Now keen to do some more F18 sailing...it really is a buzz!

(BTW reading a review below...we waited during the morning until John thought conditions were right as there was thunder and lightning brewing...we were more than happy to take his advice; they are the experts on what's happening on on the lake and it's a really nice place to hang around anyway + with the free parking)

Ho fatto una lezione individuale di ws alla mattina per migliorare la planata però il vento era abbastanza intenso e le onde ben formate. Siamo usciti e fin da subito ho avuto problemi per via delle onde e dopo mezz’ora il maestro è tornato a prendere il gommone per portarmi sopravvento. È tornato a riva a prendere la tavola e poi più visto, non mi trovava più… se non sono dove mi hai lasciato forse ho scarrocciato un po’ oppure sono finito sul fondo del lago. Sono stato due ore e mezza nel lago e nonostante fossi ormai l’unico rimasto nessuno si è azzardato a venirmi a riprendere e sono dovuto tornare faticando alla scuola stremato. Ma la cosa peggiore è il tipo alla reception che mi viene a dire che succede così quando uno si crede troppo bravo…. E poi in ws c’è da andare anche da soli, si ok allora facevo un noleggio e non buttavo 140€ per aver fatto neanche mezz’ora di lezione.. non so se è poco attenzione al cliente o tanto c’è talmente giro che chissene frega

Wir hatten eine Probestunde im Windsurfen gebucht. Leider gab es wetterbedingt nur ein Board für zwei Personen. Dadurch war die Zeit auf dem Wasser sehr begrenzt, und der Kurs war insgesamt nicht so effektiv wie erhofft. Wir hätten uns gewünscht, den Termin zu verschieben, um mehr zu lernen und ein besseres Gefühl fürs Windsurfen zu bekommen. So blieb das Erlebnis eher enttäuschend.

Ein echtes Highlight unseres Italienurlaubs! 🌞⛵
Wir haben einen Segeltag mit Skipper Joachim auf dem See verbracht und es war einfach traumhaft. Super entspannt, tolle Atmosphäre und dazu noch perfekte Tipps für Mittag- und Abendessen – ein rundum gelungener Tag.

Es war so schön, dass wir direkt noch einen zweiten Tag gebucht haben – diesmal mit unseren beiden kleinen Kindern. Auch hier wieder genau das gleiche Erlebnis: herzlich, bestens organisiert, top ausgestattet und trotzdem lernt man spielerisch auch noch etwas dazu und die Kindern konnten schon mal reinschnuppern.

Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und werden defintiv wiederkommen. Absolute Empfehlung!

I had 4 windsurfing sessions with equipment rented from WWWind Square Malcesine in August and I can totaly recommend it. Special thanks to Lucas for advice about the spot and sail&board recommendations. I came across this place as it opens early (after 7:00 am) and gives the opportunity to rent and still enjoy the morning north wind. It gets quite busy since everyone wants to still catch the wind before it slowly weakens closer to noon. But it also gives a good vibe of people having some additional morning adrenaline, just need to be patient sometimes with collecting the full gear :). Grazie mile for all the Crew!

A first class quality experience!
We did a 5 day sailing course in a Soling class keel boat. Our instructor was Vicky. We had done some casual sailing before (eg Hobie cats) but wanted to get a licence to be safe and allow us to sail solo. We sailed for about 2 hours each day. Vicky was a very experienced sailor so taught us quickly the 'tricks of the trade'. She was very patient and very good at explaining all the fundamental concepts. There was quite a bit of theory to learn, including all the nautical terms, knot tying, etc. This was outlined in a very readable style in a booklet with many pictures. We felt that the course gave us a very safe grounding towards becoming sailors. Everything was conducted in a friendly relaxed style with plenty of smiles. A special mention to Vicky, John & Lucas who were lovely, interesting people. They all know all there is to know about sailing at a high level. We learnt so much. We are planning to come back next year to get some more sailing and take the advanced course. Things could not have been better (apart from the occasional drop in the wind speed! - ha ha). 5 stars out of 5 all round. The place was very professional and does a fantastic job. The staff love what they are doing. We hope they keep working there for years to come!

Super friendly, boat was proper rigged. Good advise about what the wind will be at the time. Staff did a real great job with help get you in and out the water. Garda is a great lake to go out and have a fun day. Real fun, my wife had her first time sailing, we went on a hobie tiger. Big fun!

I booked a 4-day windsurfing course with the VDWS certification option, and everything went smoothly from signing up to getting my certificate. The trainers (Gabi and Otto) were always friendly and helpful. For the first two days, there were just a few of us (3ppl), but when more beginners showed up, they reorganized the groups and moved me to another one, which was great.
What I really appreciated was that they didn’t stick strictly to the end time—if the wind was good, they let us stay out longer.
Overall, I’m really happy with the experience and would definitely book another course with them in the future.

Haben ein soling Segelboot für 2 Stunden gemietet und es ging sehr einfach und unkompliziert über die Website, es gibt Parkmöglichkeiten vor Ort, es war super schön auf dem See und zum Ende hin war es etwas windig und sie haben uns direkt geholfen, das Boot wieder zurück an die Boje zu bringen und die Segel runter zu fahren! Richtig nettes und aufmerksames Personal!!

Wenn es mal ausnahmsweise keinen Wind gibt am Gardasee (was zum Glück sehr selten vorkommt) gibt es ein sehr tolles Alternativprogramm: Foilen hinter dem Motorboot.

Ich hatte einen Wing Foil Kurs gebucht, der aufgrund von fehlendem Wind am ersten Tag nicht stattfinden konnte. Die Schule hat daraufhin flexibel und kreativ angeboten hinter dem Boot schonmal die Kontrolle über das Bord und das foilen zu üben.

Am nächsten Tag dann wie geplant der Wing Foil Kurs mit Wind und Wing mit kompetenten und motivierenden Lehrern. Wir waren zu dritt im Kurs und es wurde individuell auf jeden eingegangen.

Vor 15 Jahren hab ich hier Surfen gelernt, jetzt mal was neues. Ich kann die Schule uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Bei einem Urlaub in Malcesine Pflichtprogramm!

My family and I spent an afternoon at WWWind Square yesterday and had a great time sailing the 4+ meter boat w main sail and jib and using the paddle boards. My 14 year old and I sailed the boat after getting a refresher from the staff and had an amazing time with the light steady winds and breathtaking scenery. My wife and two older teenage sons used the paddle boards and enjoyed touring the coast near Malcesine and going for swims. We would definitely go back to WWWind Square Watersports!

We hired Kayaks for €20 per person for an hour and had a fun experience. We were given a life jacket, paddle and the boat. In the kayaks there are water tight compartments which you can put small personal items in such as phones or shoes, but they also happily kept our rucksack behind the reception desk. We were given free roam and had a great time. Nearly managed to kayak all the way up to the castle

Wir waren segeln mit Lukas und es war einfach großartig! Er ist ein super sympathischer und kompetenter Skipper, der alles verständlich erklärt und dabei eine entspannte Atmosphäre schafft. Die Tour war perfekt organisiert – tolles Boot, wunderschöne Kulisse und richtig gute Stimmung an Bord. Man merkt, dass hier mit Leidenschaft gearbeitet wird. Absolut empfehlenswert, wir kommen gerne wieder!
